OUR PROGRAM DELIVERY IS CONTINUOUSLY UNDER REVIEW TO KEEP UP WITH HEALTH AND SAFETY, AND ONTARIO'S HEALTH MINISTRY GUIDELINES.
As well as fostering learning and giving your child some insights to their next grade level, we will also incorporate fun and play in our daily routines. At camp:
Children will interact (social distance) and take part in various numeracy and literacy games and activities.
No we haven’t forgotten about Fun!!! Children try out their skills and knowledge in friendly (social distance) team sparring. There are prizes and goodies to be won!!
There are also individual “test my limit” to encourage children to show their optimal! Prizes and goodies to be won!
There will be many (social distance) group activities and games because collaboration is key in learning in professions and in the world at large
Your early years child will become more familiar with numbers, counting, patterning and sequencing; alphabet, letter soundings, writing and reading
Your older years child will build on the foundational things. They will practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, time, money, fraction, reading, comprehension, spelling, and writing.
As well, there are many subjects and areas that will overlap for both groups based on grade/ability level.
At Three R's, we aim to enrich the lives of young children, by providing support and resources for academic progress through our camp and Homework club programs. The goal is not to help the child to become the most sophisticated professional in the future, but rather prepare them with academic tools, and equip them to function in the real world.
Every child that experiences Three R's programming will be seen individually in their abilities, understanding and speed of
progress; while working towards their optimal.
Learn and excel through play, interaction and being challenged.
Each day will be a combination of Math and Language skills activities and games. We will work with the child's already known skills, introduce some new learning skills and get them familiar with some they may see in their new grade; while still having fun.
